Middleborough High School Earns Two 2026 New England Student Production Awards Contests Featured Middleborough High School NATAS Video April 13, 2026April 17, 2026 Congratulations to Middleborough High School television production for winning two 2026 New England Student Production Awards (SPA) and three additional honorable mentions. MHS junior, Dani Tawa won their first New England SPA in the Long Form Nonfiction category for the documentary: The Making of ‘Hadestown: Teen Edition’ Dani Tawa, Winner of a 2026 New England Student Production Award, Long Form Nonfiction category Dani Tawa makes preliminary edits on the making of “Hadestown: Teen Edition” MHS Sophomore, Aaron Davis won his second consecutive New England SPA, this time in the Photographer category for his Middleborough High School Football Highlight. Aaron Davis, Winner of a 2026 New England Student Production Award in the Photography Category I’ve made multiple sports highlights so far this year, and this contest meant so much to me that I had to put in all my effort to make this one highlight as great as possible. Winning once was crazy enough for me to believe. Winning a second one in a row baffled me. I’d love to get into a film college, the whole art of making films is so interesting to me and I’d love to pursue it as a career. Aaron Davis Middleborough High School earned three additional honorable mentions in this year’s SPA. Middleborough earned an honorable mention for Newscast, for their production of MET News: January 9, 2026. Congratulations to Kennedy Frawley, Shahanna Naz, Isaiah Colp, Shawn Miller, and Autumn Jean-Francois for an outstanding job producing MET News. Joshua Horsman earns a NE SPA honorable mention for editing the MHS Senior Walk Video Production students, Saniah Auguste and Tanisha Raheel, also earned an honorable mention in the Public Service Announcement category for their PSA titled, The Apple. Student Production Award Winners were announced by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences on April 13, 2026. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) is a service organization dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational, and technical achievements within the television industry.
